Langtang Region

Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just underneath himalayan range to the north Tibet border and a range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang valley gives an opportunity to discover majestic Gosaikunda lake, Kyanjin Gompa, Helambu, Ganja la pass (5122m), tibetan villages, tamang villages, small peaks and glaciers at low elevations. In spring, wooded area on the path is colorful and full of blooming rhododendrons. Trekking in winter has more snow and path is quite slippery. It is less crowded compared to other hiking and trekking routes in Nepal. Gosaikunda lake (4380m) offers a terrific reward with splendid mountain vistas and exquisite scenes. Gosaikunda is a blessed lake of lord Shiva, a major destination for hindus and buddhist pilgrims. Its water is believed to have magical recovery power. Aside that we can hike over the rocks to Suryakunda lake (4610m) and descend downhill walking to Helambu. We experience the finest view of Langtang Lirung (7227m), Naya Kangri, Yala peak as well as numerous other snow-capped mountains, hard rocks, forested green valleys and heavenly mountain lakes. One may enjoy experiencing lifestyles of sherpa and other ethnic groups. It is a stunning adventure in Nepal  as Langtang national park is the natural habitat of some wild creatures whereas trail has wildflowers and is shaded with vibrant rhododendron, orchids, magnolia, conifers, oak trees as well as several other nature treasures.
